Now, is the time to help Yemen!!
22 million people (equivalent to 60% of the population) of Yemen are in desperate need of help from famine due to the current conflict. 11.3 million of its children face hunger, disease and are under threat of continuous air raids and bombardments.
The civilians who want to escape from the war and famine have to cross the minefields and active conflict zones. 2398 children have died and countless civilians injured due to airstrikes to date.
We cannot sit back in our comfortable homes and allow this to continue and must raise awareness and do whatever we can to help.
We have therefore organised a fund raising evening in conjunction with the Red Crescent (Kizilay) as well as other organisations in the UK and hope that with your support and help will raise as much funds as possible .
Like the fireworks that will light up the skies in New Year's eve, we hope also with your help and donations to go someway to brighten up the lives of the many children and civilians.

UID UK President Yetimova's Amendment Statement
European Union of Turkish Democrats (UETD) changed its name to UID in the 6th Ordinary General Assembly held in Sarajevo Olympic Sports Hall on May 20, 2018,
Regarding the change, UETD UK President Erdal Yetimova stated that the name change was being applied in England as well.
Erdal Yetimova 's written statement about the subject is as follows:
"On May 20, 2018 Sarajevo Olympic Sports Hall of European Turkish Democrats Union (UETD) 6. Number of Ordinary General Assembly of the Republic of Turkey President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was held with the participation as guest of honor.

Bülent Bilgi elected the general president by delegates and took over the task from Zafer Sırakaya . Information Between 2016 and 2018, he was the Secretary General of the UETD. In addition to this, the delegates decided to change the name of the European Union of Democrats (UETD) as the Union of International Democrats (UID ) and elected the 25-member board of directors. The distribution of the duties of the elected board members will be announced in the coming days.
Founded in 2004, our association has been involved in activities aimed at developing social and cultural field in the countries where European Turks have been in cooperation with other associations for years. In addition, UETD has undertaken efforts to ensure the active participation of Turks living in Europe in political, administrative and economic fields and has endeavored to raise the standard of living of our people. It is an important requirement that we are evolving UETD to UID with a name change, and it is an important step towards the realization of all our activities not only in Europe, but all over the world. UID abroad all over the world in the coming years will assume the role of a bridge between Turks and Turkey. In the coming days, our social media accounts and website will be updated due to name changes.
As UETD UK territory, today UID UK - International Democratic Union UK has been replaced by a board decision. Our next activities will be under the name of UİD UK.
